The Fish Bike

I'm not sure, but this colorful bike costume seems to be made with papier mache. In San Francisco, this restaurant really honored its menu by dressing up this bicycle as a fish. It almost reminds me of a pinata. I'm not sure if the Christmas decoration on the wheels are left over from previous holidays... In any case, I'm glad the fish bike is wearing a hat to protect it from the sun, it was bright and sunny that day!

Curious pastry truck in the big apple. If you've been to NYC lately you must've seen it. Product description, menu, and even signage of where to do the line or place your order right on one single 2 dimensional space. Good typography conquers all!

Curious match box from Peru. This is a package design that's been around for a while. I still remember using these matches when lighting on the stove at home in the 70s. Seems that the match company has no intentions of giving this curious match box a face lift at all. I never paid attention to it but in my last trip to Peru I looked at it and said, wow, they still make these? It brought memories so I brought a sample with me. Ask any Peruvian about La Llama. There are no better matches than La Llama! What are the red stripes in the background? Clouds?

Curious postcard from Nicaragua. Drew State is a cigar factory with its own little sub-culture. I would like to know more about this little guy who carries cigars in his front shirt pocket. Love the typography treatment!
